Ron Contour doesn't care what you think. "Ron Con" already knows where he stands in the midst of today’s shaky music industry climate. Ron con has worked too hard and too long to care about the mundane details that plague so many of hip hops a and b listeners. Ron Con is a proud "c-lister". A hip hop cunundrum (sic), a man of few means yet many dreams and a penchant for the peculiar.

For over a decade now, Ron Contour has made his presence felt with 3 full length albums and hundreds of mixtape spots. Restaurant tours have kept him busy in the lean times in between albums. Ron Contour formed a partnership with the Grammy ignored Moka Only as Moka has been supplying him with raw, dirty beats since Ron's commercial inception in 1998 when he released the album "Live from Rio". The album was met with critical acclaim and many trophies we amassed.

Ron contour is also Moka's first cousin and lives in Vancouver, BC just up the block from Moka. Ron describes his own musik as "backpacker, fantasy deluxe"... yes. That’s from his own mouth, ladies and germs. Still, not one to cram himself into any small box (unless ladies are concerned), Ron continues to push boundaries and hands up with his most recent album for Domination Recordings entitled "The Summer of Ron".

"Moka gave me a challenge", says Ron from his summer trailer home in Spokane, Washington. "He brought me right back to the feeling of the mid-90s on the beats and he told me simply just to take it there. To keep that momentum going. That momentum that went askew around 1999....and I think we have done justice to that sentiment with this latest album".

If the current rumblings in hip hop's disgruntled underworld concerning a true revival are any indication, then Ron definitely has his foot firmly planted on the right side of the fence and indeed has his work cut out for him. --- Brickey C. Johnson --- freelance writer
