In less then two days in the spring of 2004 INFINITO (2017) and Thaione Davis came together to form I.T., an idea of original HIP HOP production and straight ahead lyricism for "the people." Essentially two brothers from the southside of Chicago, INFINITO on the lyrics, hailing from the wild 100's and Thaione Davis on production/guest vocals, hailing from Princeton Park together have created a funky, soulful, reggae, blues inspired, jazzy concept album titled "Low Income Housing."
I.T. (INFINITO and Thaione) is the creative dimension of what Hip-Hop music is, truly a culmination of black music as close to the root as you can get. This tandem of like minds from the boom bap era of hip-hop formulated I.T. at the legendary University of Chicago radio station WHPK 88.5fm (the pride of the south side) after one statement was proposed...."Don't B! talk about it, be about it!" The response was “Lets just do this!” In a span of 15 hours, Low Income Housing was recorded and ready to be prepped for mixing and mastering. Constructed with a blue collar approach, Low Income Housing teaches, informs, entertains, and bumps with soul and authentic quality filling the common void in hip hop today. This is the south side of Chicago at its fullest. We are proud to present you the first collaboration installment from two of the hardest working icons from the windy city today. Look for more from I.T. in the near future. |
