Free Download: Arsun F!st album samplers
Domination Recordings is proud to announce the upcoming releases "Its a Struggle To Get Deep" and "The Struggle Continues" by Jacksonville, Florida based emcee Arsun F!st! The first single "So Alive" will be hitting radio later this month and both releases will be available in June! Now available for free download are album samplers from both releases.
Arsun F!st "It's a StruGgle 2 Get Deep"
This album was birthed from the trials and tribulations that one faces while following their dreams. Not jaded by the materialism in most of today's popular music, the songs on this project attempt to invite the listener into a world where it is o.k. to be yourself. The album: It's A StruGgle 2 Get Deep is comprised of honesty, self reflection, and enough verbal humility to showcase the range of emotions that define the emcee Arsun F!st. With production from The Unknown, Natestrumentals, Fatman & Tropical, as well as Choppy Chope Sounds the album also features guest appearances from Em-Eye-See and Priest Da Nomad.

Arsun F!st "The Struggle Continues"
Given the new technology and media markets that drive Hip-Hop today, it was only a matter of time before the internet became the central meeting place for a lot of aspiring artists and producers from around the world. The project dubbed: The StruGgle Continues... was created soley via internet communication. The whole project was recorded, mixed, and mastered through the internet as a way of showing people that Hip-Hop truly is a global platform. Hailing from Northwest, Manchester UK the production team of Fatman & Tropical produced, mixed, and mastered every song on the album while Jacksonville, Florida's own Arsun F!st and special guest Em-Eye-See handled the lyrical responsibilities of the project.

Meet the Artist: Spacebound
 1. Please introduce yourself? Josh G: Josh G. One half of Spacebound.
Jon Wayne: How's it going? I'm Jon Wayne, the emcee of Spacebound. I am currently 17 years old and a Senior in High School.
2. From where? Josh G: Yorkshire, UK.
Jon Wayne: I come from La Habra, California. It's about 40 minutes or so from LA.
3. Music influences? Josh G: The whole Jazz and Fusion scene, Soul, Brazilian Music, Funk etc. In terms of Hip Hop I'm probably most influenced by Madlib and Dilla (RIP) but of course there's plenty more.
Jon Wayne: Non-hip hop things influence me more than anything else, really. This has got to be a cliche by now, but Miles Davis influenced the way I think about music, mainly his fusion era. I usually listen to Electronic music when I'm writing my lyrics down, so that way I make sure I'm not in that generic state of mind when writing these things. You gotta think, how many emcees have written lyrics to some Dre beats? And it shows. I've even tried writing lyrics to Classical music, and I've come out with more beautiful and descriptive lyricism. It's all about experimentation, and without it, music would get nowhere. As for hip-hop acts, I have to say MF Doom, Busta Rhymes, Ol' Dirty Bastard, R.A. the Rugged Man...emcees like that influence me.
4. Debut appearance? Josh G: Spacebound! Although there's a few of my beats floating around.
Jon Wayne: I haven't been on the mic for very long. I used to rap in my room in whispers with some poorly written verse in my hand and one of my buddy's beats looping on the computer, and I got such a rush from that, that I started to rap with other people when I got the opportunity at school or something, if people were standing around just having a lyric circle jerk. In October of 2007, I went and recorded a demo using a desktop microphone on a Mac, so I guess that was my debut appearance, but I'm fairly new.
5. What have you released so far? Josh G: This is my first!
Jon Wayne: Spacebound is scheduled for release on Domination Recordings, which fits very nicely with their catalog. It's just a fun album that seeks out to do no more than satisfy the ears. Josh and I aren't preaching and we're not showing you how it's done, because, frankly, we don't know how to do shit ourselves. Other than that, I released a mixtape that's free for download on my Myspace, as well as on Domination and a few other music blogs. It's produced mainly by people I've met at the Stones Throw Message Board. A lot of great talent over there.
6. Do you produce? Josh G: That's all I do. I tried rhyming once but I was awful so I just stuck to beats!
Jon Wayne: Haha, I make beats. I do not produce. Two totally different things. The beats are average at best. In other words, I'd rather pay for a producer's beat than use my own for free.
7. Best moment for you in hip hop? Josh G: Getting this album released.
Jon Wayne: As a musician, I really can't say, because I'm not very experienced. If I could pick one moment, however, it'd have to be the first time I recorded in a vocal booth. This was for Styles Unbreakable, a track off of Spacebound, and before that, I hadn't recorded in a booth. Man, that was intense...gave me the chills.
8. Any plans for a tour in the near future? Josh G: Just doing as much DJing as I can really. I feel more comfortable at home making beats though to be honest.
Jon Wayne: I will be quite honest and say I've never done a show before, but I plan on doing some shows with AVI, an affiliate of mine who's done at least a dozen tracks with me. I also plan on doing shows for the release of Spacebound around my area.
9. What's next? Josh G: I'm working on some stuff with Arsun F!st which is looking real good, another Spacebound album and a solo with various MC's - Hit me up if you're interested!
Jon Wayne: Spacebound 2 is happening, most definitely. Josh G has handed me nearly a hundred beats within these past couple months, and we could definitely make a classic the next time around. I've got an album with Dean Lofts, a producer from Australia, and doing an EP with Rod Kashani entitled "Oops, I Sold Out!". We still don't know whether we want to make that a free download or not. As for a solo release, it'd be a bitch to get all the rights to everything I use, but that's definitely a possibility. I definitely know the right producers to make that happen, so we'll see.
10. Shout outs? Josh G: Abby, Jon Wayne, Arsun F!st, Domination Recordings, all the guests on the Spacebound album, everyone over at the STMB and Flamefire, Big Up!
Jon Wayne: This is a lot of peeps, but hey, I'm a thankful guy. I've gotta shout out to all the people at the Stones Throw Message Board: Josh G, Jukebox, DJ Projexion, Big Ern, Doot, Wigmaster, Bill Collector, Henry Snowstorm, Neologism, DeeSupreme, Shakey Finch, hot cocoa, Drella, TKurata, breakface, JINESIS, quasquasquas, SertOne, t!llman, 00Genesis, Mozaik, ren, BazacoProject, Godzilla, Patch Lunch, Doom Addikts, miss stress, taza one, ptahh, Just Another DJ, scabs, Ralph Wiggum, Klay Doe, kcat, GOYO, DAWHUD, and all those other guys. You help me through my music, and the feedback you guys give is always good.
A special shout out from there to Spooky, for actually making me gag quite a few times. Do yourself a favor and turn yourself in. Shout out to my friends at school for supporting me all the way. There are too many to start mentioning, but you know who you guys are. Nothing but love for you all.
Also, big shout out to my family, momdadmikaelanickpatgrandmagrandpa. And to my main dog, Charlie. One final shout out to two particular individuals. Danny Lopez, who's been the biggest supporter of my passion from the very start. It was his house where I recorded my very first demo, and he still drives me to the studio every other week to record. And a shout out to AVI the most ill. Without him, I wouldn't even be doing this shit. Thank you all. And thank you for your time.
Spacebound "The Adventures of..." coming soon on Domination Recordings!

Meet the Artist: Arsun F!st
 1. Please introduce yourself? What's good people? This is ARSUN F!ST coming live and direct on behalf of the mighty TEAM I.A.M.
2. From where? Let's see, I was blessed at an early age with the gift of travel, but right now I call Jacksonville, FL my home and Greenbelt, MD my home away from home.
3. Music influences? Jimi Hendrix, Santanna, Tito Fuentes, Bob Marley, Rakim, KRS-1, Big Daddy Kane, Common, Madlib, Nas, Andre 3000, Dilla (R.I.P.), Ras Kass, Pharaoe Monch, and Jean Grae are just a few of my favorite artists. I also try to pull inpiration from things outside of music as well. Everything within our universe has it's own distinct rythmn. If you need a visual, imagine a producer with the ability to sample directly from their own soul...That's how how deep it goes for me.
4. Debut appearance? Over the years i've been blessed to open up for quite a few big name acts, but once my song "Smokey Iced Tea" earned a slot on DJ Green Lantern's Myspace Invasion CD in Feb '07, things really started to pop off for me. Good looking out Green Lantern! lol
5. What have you released so far? Back in 2004 I released an EP titled: Vizual Phloes on my own without any kind of label push behind it. and then in October of 2006 I linked up with Fatman & Tropical outta Manchester, UK for the high powered single: Swanky, which was followed up a few months later with another Ep called: Cocktail Music Volume One. Then in Feb of '07 I linked up with Fatman & Tropical again for the single: Smokey Iced Tea, which earned a spot on DJ Green Lantern's Myspace Invasion CD. Then in June of this year, myself and my partner in rhyme Em-eye-See (collectively known as TEAM I.A.M.) released: Finally...the EP, again produced soley by Fatman & Tropical. (Manchester stand up!!!)
6. Do you produce? Yes, I do make beats from time to time, but i've slowed down over the years to focus on getting my Emcee skills up to par. It takes alot energy to make beats and rhyme on top of just living a regular life, so I had to give up the ASR-X for awhile...
7. Best moment for you in hip hop? Hmmm, it gotta be when Lil' Kim and Junior Mafia were doing a promotional tour and they came down to South Carolina to hit up the radio stations and perform that night a local club. Well, at the time, the group I was a part of had some connects so we were able to secure the opening act slot for Kim and Junior Mafia, but before the show started Lil Kim's brother Trife made a comment that "there are no real emcees in the south and that he would eat any southerner in a battle". So being the type of person I am, I battled Trife right there on the spot and shut him down...completely. It was so bad the owner of the club made me stop because he said that the opening act is not supposed to outshine the headliner lol! Hip-Hop...you gotta love it.
8. Any plans for a tour or shows in the near future? I would love to do a mini "Florida tour" with some of the artists that's based throughout the Florida region...Smile Rays, Laws, Dutchmassive, Majik Most, and a few others would be dope I think and maybe after that I would like to hit up the UK for a few shows but right now everything is still in the "let's talk about it" phase so hopefully things will jump off once the details are planned out properly.
9. What's next? Well, I just completed my 1st project for Domination which is titled: It's a Struggle 2 Get Deep so be on the lookout for the album when it drops. I'm also producing a few tracks on Em-eye-See's album, A Dream Deffered. On top of that, i'm also begining to collect beats for the upcoming TEAM I.A.M. project, so if you got some heat get@me ASAP! I also have quite a few other smaller projects in the works just to hold people over until it's time for the next ARSUN F!ST album...2008 it's gonna be a beautiful year.
10. Shout outs? First and foremost, I gotta thank the most high for keeping me focused on my dream. Next would have to be Em-eye-See and Reign for being there for me in my darkest moments (brothers for life). You know I gotta shout out D.J. for inviting me into the Domination family! Preist Da Nomad for being my engineer, friend, and mentor in the whole process of putting my album together. The Unknown, Choppy Chope Sounds, Natestrumentals, and Fatman & Tropical all get love for being great friends on top of contributing music and good energy into my project. I could go on for days, but you guys will just have to check the album credits for the rest of my shout outs!
Arsun F!st "Its a Struggle To Get Deep" & "The Struggle Continues" coming soon on Domination Recordings!
